Attention Kept: 7 hours so far Will I play it again: Definitely

I am a sucker for racing games. Fully half of my gaming library is devoted to fast cars. So, even though I played the demo for DiRT and hated it, I picked it up anyway. And I'm glad I did. The demo may have sucked, but so far, the game is alot of fun.

Attention Kept: 8 hours or so. Almost finished it, but not quite. Will I play it again: Probably

In her first foray onto the Xbox360, Lara Croft puts on a good show. The controls are solid and reasonably intuitive. The puzzles are good. The shoot-em-up action is decent, but thankfully not the focus. And the environments are fantastic. Which is important, since Tomb Raider is all about Lara Croft versus the evironment.

These screens are from the Eidos press kit. But, having played it for a number of hours, I can confirm that this is what the game looks like. Very nice.

Screens from Vampire Rain for the Xbox360.

Screens from DiRT for the Xbox360.

These are of the widescreen standard-definition output.

Screens from Rayman: Raving Rabids for the Xbox360.

These are of the widescreen standard-definition output.

Attention Kept: About 2 hours Will I play it again: Not a chance

Not having played the previous four Dynasty Warriors games, I didn't really know what I was in for. Button. Mashing. And bad camera control. It is utterly inexcusable for a game to have bad camera control on our current crop of consoles. The worst part of it is that the stick that could have controlled the camera just sat there doing nothing while I was stuck looking in the wrong direction.

Attention Kept: 2 hours? 3 hours? Will I play it again: Assuredly, next time I get a hankering to Tetris.

The evolution part of Tetris Evolution seems to me to be an overstatement. But "Tetris: More of the same game you already know, with a couple of added twists" probably wouldn't fit on the side of the box. Seriously, it's Tetris. What else do you need to know? It's shiny with theming, little avatar guys and a techno version of the original Tetris theme. But mostly, it's just Tetris. And if you want to play Tetris on your Xbox360, well, there you go. If you don't, well, ok.

Sometimes I do, so I'm glad that I have it.

Attention Kept: 4 hours or so Will I play it again: Yup

Carcassone is a deceptively simple strategy board-game conversion for the Xbox360. Like all good strategy games it's easy to learn and difficult to master. This new rendition for XBLA does a fantastic job of keeping the fun and getting rid of the tedium.
Attention Kept: 12 hours or so Will I play it again: Once was enough.

The Darkness is a fantastic game. If you like shooters and you like awesome, then you'll like The Darkness. Unless you're like a WWII shooter only snob or something.
